ABSTRACT:
A 5 page research paper that examines four books that offer differing, yet complementary, perspectives on the history of women in Latin American. Historically, the social and legal rights of women in Latin America have been developmentally behind those of that women have experienced in North America and in Europe. These studies reveal that there has, indeed, been a great deal of change in the social position of women in Latin America that comes from the differing social customs in various regions and also the evolution of social custom across time.
